The new footie season will be upon us soon and whatever your opinion or indifference EVERYONE has to agree that Steve McClaren was without (a shadow of) a doubt the most inept and inarticulate manager England ever had the misfortune to have in the driving seat.

After he was sacked for failing to get England into Euro 2008 he even had the temerity to appear as a pundit on a bunch of televised and radio broadcasted matches.  Everytime he opened his mouth the world cringed.  Some mad Dutch people then decided he would make a good coach for FC Twente and moved him from our shores, thank God.

If you have not already seen this interview make sure you have something to bite down on.  What a complete and utter..........!!!

Although probably best known for Shaft and later South Park my favourite album was Branded which I still spin frequently and will do so in memory for a while.

My one and only live encounter was at Glastonbury in 1981 when Ginger Baker was bottled off stage to get them on.  Needless to say this was a most surreal experience based on my one and only ocurrence of ingestion of a chemical substance associated with the band.

Someone has chucked up the film in short episodes on YouTube.  Definitely worth checking out.

To be honest my real afinity was for Motorhead and I saw them during the Overkill/Bomber/Ace of Spades period a few times.  One of my best ever trades was with Mr Williams, my chemistry teacher at the age of 15.  I got the first Motorhead album on white vinyl in return for Joan Armatradings Love and Affection.  Not bad....

Worse when I gave it to my brother-in-law to look after (along with a shed load of vinyl) when I went overseas.  He moved house and left it in the loft........Mother.....

RRG received a little featurette below as well as an entry on the brand map which I will post up later.  Not too scabby for a brand thats only been around for a year.  I might disagree with some of the adjacencies but very appreciative of the WAD team.

Focusing on better mens fashion but also design, art architecture and whatever else fires up the contributors juices it should be the first stop for everyone on their daily (weekly !) blog browse.

 We are gearing up for a big expansion of the collection from Spring 2009.  We have been putting together some amazing product including selvage twill, cashmere and merino knitwear, a full shirt range plus some new footwear concepts.  In addition there are new denim washes and fits and collaborative projects.
