Standard & Strange is a Berkeley-founded specialty apparel shop built around the idea of owning fewer, better things. Founded in 2012 by Neil Berrett and Jeremy Smith and named after a Jane Jacobs line celebrating "the standard with the strange, the large with the small", the shop curates heritage-grade clothing from Japanese, European and American makers: denim, leather, knitwear, footwear and accessories chosen to wear in, not out.
